What is Burstlining?
• the old pipe would be destroyed
• the broken fragments are pressed into the surrounding earth
• the new pipe of equal or larger nominal diameter is fed into the
resulting channel
• Old pipes comprising vitrified clay, concrete, cast iron, steel or
fibre cement
• new pipes are mainly HDPE pipe with protective characteristics,
but also steel pipe, ductile cast-iron pipe and PP pipe
• Length up to 200 m
